Lifting & rigging
inspection.
Lifting and rigging inspection, height safety equipment inspection and testing support, coordinated through our Perth and Darwin teams. Define the scope around your equipment, operating conditions and project requirements.
- Lifting equipment inspections
- Rigging inspections
- Load-testing enquiries
- Inspection reporting
Bring your equipment register, previous reports and required inspection dates so we can define the examination, testing and reporting scope. Inspection and supply enquiries can be coordinated with our lifting and rigging equipment team.
Inspection methods, acceptance criteria and deliverables are agreed for each scope.
Know the condition.
Plan the next lift.
Safespear supports lifting equipment, rigging and height safety inspection programmes for onshore and offshore operations. Bring the equipment register, previous reports and site requirements together so the examination, testing and reporting scope can be defined before work begins.
Lifting & rigging equipment inspections
Inspection support for lifting and lifted equipment, with the scope matched to the equipment type, condition, service history and applicable requirements. Identify the assets and quantities when requesting a quotation.
Include manufacturer information, rated capacity, identification markings and previous inspection records where available. Equipment without clear identification or supporting records can be discussed during scope planning.
Height safety equipment inspections
Discuss the inspection of height safety equipment alongside your lifting and rigging register. Provide the equipment type, manufacturer, identification, age and previous inspection history.
Inspection requirements and intervals are reviewed against the manufacturer's instructions, applicable requirements and the operating conditions of the equipment.
Proof loading & load-testing enquiries
Safespear can assess proof-loading and load-testing enquiries as part of an agreed inspection scope. Send drawings, rated capacities, previous certificates, the nominated test requirements and details of the proposed test location.
Test arrangements, equipment, access, handling and reporting requirements are confirmed for the specific job. The required examination and testing should be defined for the asset rather than assumed to be the same for every item.
DROPS inspections & surveys
Dropped-object inspections and surveys can be included in a wider asset integrity scope. Identify the work areas, equipment and access restrictions so the survey and reporting requirements can be planned.
Discuss how findings will be recorded, prioritised and passed to the responsible site team for follow-up.
NDT & third-party inspection support
Where the inspection specification calls for additional examination, discuss non-destructive testing and third-party inspection support with our team. The material, geometry, access and inspection objective help determine the appropriate method.
Provide the nominated procedure, acceptance criteria and any client-specific qualification or witnessing requirements with the enquiry.
Inspection reporting & asset records
Agree the asset identification, inspection results and reporting format before mobilisation. Include your equipment register or client templates so the required records and deliverables are clear.
Discuss findings that require further examination, repair assessment or other follow-up, together with how those actions should be reflected in the asset records.
