SAFEHOUSE Habitats

Our habitats can be used to carry out any type of hot work, such as welding, cutting or grinding, in a hazardous area, without the need for shutdown.

HOT WORK WITH SAFEHOUSE HABITATS

SAFEHOUSE habitats are an Ex certified flexible, flame retardant and modular enclosure which create safe areas of work within an explosive atmosphere.

Our habitats can be used to carry out any type of hot work, such as welding, cutting or grinding, in a hazardous area, without the need for shutdown. This is achieved by creating a ‘pressurised’ environment that acts as a physical barrier between an ignition source (hot work) and an explosion risk.

Pressurised habitats and controls for red hot work in hazardous areas

Benefits of our habitat system are:

  • Engineered control for the safe execution of hot work in an explosive atmosphere
  • Maximises production uptime by minimising requirements for shutdown
  • Increases personnel productivity by creating a comfortable working environment
  • Ensures risks are ALARP
  • Reusable and designed specifically for the Oil & Gas industry
