A modular enclosure, integrated monitoring and controlled tool power for planned hot-work activities in hazardous areas. Available as equipment or with project support, installation and mobilisation.
Einstein Control System
Integrated monitoring and automatic protection for the habitat and connected equipment.
- Flammable gas, H₂S, habitat pressure and duct airflow monitoring
- Staged alarms, integrated damper and Toolstop shutdown signal
- Connections for remote alarms, gas detectors and emergency stops
Cocoon Toolstop
Controls power to connected hot-work equipment in response to Einstein alarm signals.
- Linkable connection to the Einstein Control System

The supplied IECEx certificate covers the Cairn Cocoon Habitat with Einstein Control System: IECEx EXV 23.0008X, Issue 0, issued 6 September 2023.
Certificate marking: Ex pb IIB/IIB+H₂ T4 Gb. Gas group and ambient temperature limits depend on the certified components fitted. Selection, installation and operation must follow the equipment instructions and certificate conditions of use.
